In 1963 Karl Toosbuy establishes ECCO Sko A/S in Bredebro in the southern part of Denmark. The concept has from the beginning to design high quality shoes with respect for the anatomy of the foot. ECCO® concentrates on development of new production methods focusing on design. Today ECCO® is a global company owning the complete value chain from cow to shoe. Tanneries, factories and shops are to found in various places around the world.

The starting point of each and every ECCO® shoe underlines the essence of our core beliefs - ECCO® starts with the foot and lets the foot shape the shoe - not the other way around. Innovation and design are key ingredients in ECCO's constant search for developing products with utmost comfort features - always aiming for the perfect fit.
