Wackerhaus
Words by Didder Rønlund
Trine Wackerhausen was among the few designers, who had predicted next year's winter chill! Many other places, we actually saw the seasons totally evening each other out. But not Trine, who, apart
from a small, beautiful and quilted mini thing, featured clothes for the season of next fall and winter.
Snug leggings and wonderful wool coats, tempting cable knits - which are guaranteed to never never go out of style - and large ponchos.
And did I not also see woollen stockings, or was that wishful thinking on a cold February day. The Wackerhaus collection certainly lived up to its name, "Glacierville".
With both cashmere, washed silk and wonderful velvet, she showed that her talent contains a de luxe side too. Even the colour scheme had an edge to it with the new 'must' for burgundy, burnt orange
and camel - hoping that buyers and shops spot these colours in time, so the rest of us do not have to go shopping in vain, when the time comes.
We will hear much more from Trine Wackerhaus, and I am looking forward to it.
