The Danish Museum of Art and Design is a museum for Danish and international crafts and industrial design products and is among the premier exhibition venues in Scandinavia. The museum is a centre of knowledge whose collections, archives, and library combine to make up the leading institution for research on design history in Denmark. From the very outset, the museum's main task has been to communicate notions of quality within the sphere of decorative and industrial art, thereby promoting the development of better Danish decorative arts.
