MASKA
About:
Maska was founded by Maria Svensson and Lisa Leierth in 2009. The pair share a passion for high quality knitwear made from natural materials. Their garments are made from carefully selected fibres including extra fine Merino wool, Mongolian cashmere, kid mohair, silk, alpaca and Peruvian Pima cotton.
Svensson and Leierth have embraced the spirit of slow fashion – designing great knitwear takes time and great knitwear is timeless. They endeavour to reveal the beauty of exquisite yarns, knitted structures and refined detailing that they love so much themselves.
Maska is represented in the ArtRebels showroom Garden of Good which showcase the growing movement of cutting edge designers committed to working eco sustainably. All designers in Garden of Good adhere to at least one of the three principles of fair-trade and ethical practices, organic and recycled materials and are selected for both their ethical credentials and design excellence.
Underprotection
About:
Underprotection is a Danish underwear and loungewear label based in Copenhagen. They create sustainable, fashionable pieces for men and women from natural fibres such as bamboo, soy and organic cotton. They strive to make a difference by giving customers the opportunity to combine ethics with aesthetics.
The fashion designer behind the label, Sunniva Uggerby, came up with the Underprotection concept while studying. With a deep love for fashion and a social and environmental conscience, Uggerby realized that fashion and sustainability should go hand-in-hand. And so Underprotection was born.

MaxJenny
About:
MaxJenny is a Copenhagen-based fashion designer. She employs an innovative pattern cutting process to minimise waste by considering the offcuts at the beginning of the design process. She uses intelligent fabrics made from recycled pet-bottles and natural fibres along with low impact dyes and water-based pigments.
MaxJenny believes in quality over quantity and upholds sustainable and ethical practises, valuing handmade over mass-produced, trend-based products.

Sca Ulven
About:
SCA ULVEN is the eponymous brand of designers Sara C. Andersson and Marte Ulven. Based in Norway, they have close ties with both Sweden and Denmark, and Scandinavian influences feature strongly in their work.
After exploring options for a production site in India, they settled on establishing one in Lithuania. By opting to keep their workshop in Europe, not only were they able to reduce their carbon footprint, but they were also able to oversee fair working conditions.
Andersson and Ulven had previously explored the possibility of using eco-friendly textiles but the prices were too high for small-quantity production. Instead SCA ULVEN garments are made from fabrics including viscose and cupro, as both are more sustainable than cotton.

All designers in Garden of Good adhere to at least one of the three principles of fair-trade and ethical practices, organic and recycled materials and are selected for both their ethical credentials and design excellence.
Engel Original
About:
Engel Original is a story about the industrial textile company F. Engel founded in 1927 by Carl J. Engel Sr. who had been living in the USA for several years. There he noted the distinct denim clothing worn by construction workers and decided to introduce the tradition to Denmark by bringing home a pair of Bull denim overalls. This was the start of one of Denmark’s very first workwear manufacturers like Kansas or Carhartt. Three generations later Engel Original marks itself as a sustainable company with 70% of designs having the EU Flower and Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
Engel Original is a renewal of workwear designs from the 50s that have been revitalized with sustainability in mind. The company is successful due to an ability to constantly develop as well as a firm conviction in maintaining the tradition of non-compromising high quality.

Los Vladimirovich
About:
Los Vladimirovich Владимирович Marath & Yurik Menswear Collective (LVM&Y.MC) was formed in 2009, when a handful of individuals united as an extended family to create a comfortable, high quality and unique line of clothing for the modern man. Functionality, simplicity and small details are key features of their designs. As a collective everyone is recognized: the seamstress and pattern makers, the creative collaborators, the lawyers, interns, webmasters, graphic designers, the girl that stamps the cloth; any person who directly or indirectly influences the brand.
Fall/Winter 2011 saw the collective producing garments made from recycled leather salvaged from cars and junkyards. Currently they are working with manta, 100% natural vintage textile from Mexico, for their atelier samples.

QooQoo
About:
QooQoo was launched by Alyona Bauska in 2010 in Riga, Latvia. With a background in graphic design, Bauska embraces the relationship between graphic design and fashion to create visually stimulating garments. All pieces are limited edition and are locally sewn with the label’s own printed fabric, enabling direct control over production and quality. Additionally, Bauska uses recycled fabric to create the velvet-like texture known as flock on QooQoo tights and stockings.
QooQoo’s bold patterns – rich in neon colour – are inspired by ethnic drawings, floral embroideries and social media. For her latest collection, Bauska asked her twitter followers to send photographs of their beloved pet dogs, of which fifty were integrated into a single pattern.
