New York has one. Paris has one. London has one. Now Copenhagen has one. In fashion week in August 2006, Copenhagen Fashion Week and the Mayor of Copenhagen inaugurated City Hall as the official
show space for Copenhagen Fashion Week. City Hall, the old and impressive architectural gem from 1905, is located in the heart of Copenhagen and is setting the stage for Scandinavian fashion during
the two annual fashion weeks.
The official show space at City Hall offers designers a fixed professional package including the stage, lighting, technicians, chair, backstage area and at a fair rate. Thereby also enabling new
and up-and-coming designers to show their collections. The official show space and CFW are also available to international designers interested in showing in Copenhagen.
The opening of City Hall was also the manifestation of an official co-operation between Copenhagen Fashion Week and the City of Copenhagen. The Mayor has seen the great potential of Copenhagen
Fashion Week, which has now developed into the largest fashion event in Northern Europe.
