Yesterday, the World's Greatest Catwalk sat the Guinness World Record in Hong Kong with 343 models and its 3,2 km runway on the Avenue of Stars in Hong Kong. The event was a collaboration between Danish Fashion Institute and Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association, and a meeting between Western and Eastern fashion. 158 entries were dressed in Danish fashion from 35 Danish fashion-, jewelry- and accessory brands, as well as four schools of designs.

Danish Fashion Institute’s CEO, Eva Kruse expressed: “I was extremely proud when I saw the models walking down the runway with Hong Kong’s skyline as the back drop. It was simply the best of Danish fashion represented in a beautiful international environment.”

The Danish Mayor of Culture, Pia Allerslev, and Hong Kong government’s Financial Secretary opened official the catwalk. Pia Allerslev says: “I have been in Hong Kong today to support the creativity and professionalism coming from Danish fashion industry, and Danish Fashion Institute’s ambitions and hard work. Danish Fashion Institute has again managed to give Danish fashion an international visibility, which I would like to applaud them for.”
